  1. my breakfast often consists of two slices of toasted bread with butter or cream cheese and hot, black coffee. I like bacon though. But if I make bacon and eggs it's usually dinner. We all like breakfast for dinner. Odd family, huh?

  2. Odd? No. We love breakfast food morning or evening. When I was a kid we would have waffles for supper on Sunday nights. Despite our love for them, my brother, sister and I were glued to the TV set watching Roy Rodgers so my father would go down to the laundry room and pull the fuse on the bedroom where the TV was.

I'm eating mostly turkey sausage and bacon when I do have it for breakfast. Much healthier. On the other hand a Manhattan cocktail (3/4 oz sweet vermouth, 2 1/2 oz bourbon whiskey, 1 dash Angostura® bitters, 1 maraschino cherry, and 1 twist orange peel) is 129 calories and I am planning to have one tonight when we visit the tavern where our son works. After work tonight he and his girlfriend are driving cross-country on vacation. Be looking for him. He'll be in Washington within 4-5 days.

When encouraged to eat healthily to "get in shape" I insist that round IS a shape...
