And the mystery is that the Pixie is being her normal cryptic self again? No, It can't be that.

Across the top is the word "postage stamp" in German. On two sides it says "1 Kreuzer" and on the bottom it says "9 Kreuzer".

Is a kreuzer a monetary unit? If it is, what was the cost of the stamp, one or nine? Or was it 1+1+9=11 Kreuzers? Who knows.

I am guessing that there is more to know about this stamp. Maybe Uncle B can tell us.

This a common type issue of Wurttemberg, an independent German State. If it said 1 Kreuzer (monetary unite) on both the top and bottom, there would be no mystery. The odd 9Kr value across the bottom makes this a mystery. Rachael posted this for me so an expert could view it.

Thanks! I tease Rachael about her stamps because she post all these photos and rarely tells us anything about them. I guess I like being the backside of a mule from time to time. Best Regards to you Sir.

I am not an expert. But I think you have a rare, maybe unique, stamp. You have only to discover its value.
