When I was 19 I went on a five week tour of Europe. I was surprised and happy to discover that I was old enough to drink in a London disco. I was even happier to learn that I didn't need to know the language in France, Italy, or Germany. Bartenders in all those countries understood the simple term 'rum and coke' and provided me the refreshment I desired.
My doctors now remind me that rum is alcohol, and coke has caffeine. Alas for the good old days!
I had never listened closely to the words until Rachael's post title made me listen more carefully. I just liked rum and coke. See how much I missed in my sheltered youth. Sigh...

I loved that song as a kid ... wasn't until I was all grown up that I really listened to the words!
