Westwood, Lassen County, Cemetery

Photo borrowed from another web page. Family are here.

This is where I would like to be burried.

  1. Interesting! My maternal grandmother and my mother's oldest brother are both buried in the Westwood cemetery..
My maternal grandfather and both paternal grandparents are buried in Susanville, however.
Are you familiar with Tim Purdy, by any chance? He's a local historian and has been doing a lot of work on the Westwood cemetery, trying to get all the graves, marked and unmarked, listed correctly. He can be reached at
timipurdy@citlink.net if you ever desire to. He's also doing a Westwood (Red River Lumber Co.) history - a very interesting man.
I don't know if you're at all interested in early Westwood, but there are some great pictures from the 1920s of the RRLC at
    http://www.foresthistory.org/Research/Galleries/RedRiverLumberCoAlbum_Gallery/pages/RedRiver1.htm
My parents and uncles all worked for the RRLC in Westwood for years.
You have a great site, BTW.
